Privacy policy
Last updated October 24, 2026
Takneek Web Development (“Takneek”, “we”), an India-based company, runs Takneek Social. This policy explains what personal data we collect from visitors and customers in the US, the UK and other countries outside India, why, and what rights you have. For the detailed disclosures about Google, YouTube and WhatsApp data, see our full privacy page.
1. What we collect
- Account and business details: your name, business name, email, phone, billing address and the business logo and colors you give us.
- Content and connected accounts: posts, images and videos you create, and, if you connect them, access tokens for your Instagram, Facebook, Google Business Profile and YouTube accounts.
- Payments: handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment status and invoice details, never your full card number.
- Free Google profile check: the business name, city and email you type into the form, plus what Google publicly shows about that business.
- Usage and device data: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address, through cookies and analytics tools.
- Messages: anything you send us by email or chat.
2. If we emailed you first
We email some local businesses about Takneek Social. We find the business through its public Google Business Profile and use the business email address that is publicly listed for it. In the UK we write only to companies. We use that address only to send you a short, relevant message and a free profile check.
Every such email has an unsubscribe link. Use it, or reply “unsubscribe” or email hello@takneeksocial.com, and we will not contact you again. We keep your address on a do-not-contact list so it is not emailed by mistake later.
3. Why we use your data
- To provide the service you asked for: running your account, scheduling and publishing posts, billing and support. (UK law basis: contract.)
- To keep the service safe, fix problems and improve it, and to tell business owners about Takneek Social. (Legitimate interests.)
- To send marketing to people who asked for it or, for businesses, as allowed by law, with an easy way out. (Consent or legitimate interests.)
- To meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
4. Google, Meta and AI
We only reach a Google, Instagram or Facebook account that you connect yourself through that service’s own sign-in. We use it only to publish the posts you approve and to show you your own results. We do not sell that data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Our use of information from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use rules.
We use AI models to draft posts and images from the details you give us. You review everything before it is published.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the services that help us run Takneek Social, under contract: cloud hosting and security (Google Cloud and Firebase, Cloudflare), payments (Razorpay), email delivery, analytics, and the social platforms you choose to publish to. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
On our marketing pages we may use advertising and analytics tags, for example from Google and Meta. Under some US state laws that can count as “sharing” for advertising. See “Your rights” for how to opt out.
6. Where your data is processed
We operate from India and use cloud servers that may be in the United States or elsewhere. When personal data from the UK or Europe is processed outside those regions, we rely on contracts and the safeguards our providers offer for such transfers.
7. How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account is open and for the time needed afterwards for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. When you disconnect a Google, Instagram or Facebook account, we delete its stored tokens straight away. If you ask us to erase your account, we remove the remaining data within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access tokens are encrypted at rest, and each customer’s data is kept separate from every other customer’s. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you and the authorities about a breach where the law requires it.
9. Your rights
UK and Europe: you can ask to see your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to how we use it, receive a copy you can move, and withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data authority.
California and other US states: you can ask what personal data we hold, ask us to delete or correct it, and opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” for advertising. We do not sell personal data. We will not treat you worse for using these rights. You can also use an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control in your browser.
To use any of these rights, email hello@takneeksocial.com. We may need to check it is you, and we will reply within the time the law gives us, usually 30 to 45 days.
10. Cookies
We use cookies and similar tools to keep you signed in, understand how the site is used and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may stop working if you do.
11. Children
Takneek Social is for businesses and is not aimed at anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
12. Changes and contact
If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date above and, where it affects you, tell you. Questions or requests: hello@takneeksocial.com.
